As the highest priced flashlight here on the Fenix brand flashlights - I found this to be versatile and easy to use. Using up to eight AA batteries may seem like a lot of batteries - but AA batteries are easy to find and inexpensive compared to having to use other specialty sized batteries. This flashlight is extremely bright on the highest setting and it allows plenty of other settings to suit your needs. It's compact enough to carry easily - and it's well built, highly rugged and I recommend this as a great 'all around' flashlight for anyone looking for value, performance, dependability and durability. Two thumbs up Fenix!!
