I work as a safety engineer and hate to carry bulky items with me. This light is the PERFECT size, I love the dim setting for looking at gauges and dials and the bright setting for confined spaces and field inspections. Our emergency response teams saw this light outperform their 3-AA lights and had to have them!

How can you beat such a smalll form factor light that pumps out 160 lumens as well as this unit. It's something anyone can carry at all times for any and all duties. A great thing to have at night, too.

This is truly a great penlight for medical use if you're the type of person who can keep from losing things of this nature. The size is identical to a normal disposable penlight. The weight is similar to a metal ballpoint pen. On low setting the light is similar to a standard penlight, albeit pure white. On medium it is bright, good for a pupil check in a very bright room or for general flashlight use...on high, the light is blinding, even the reflection off of non-mirrored surfaces is blinding. Great for inspecting oral cavity, pharynx, etc....incredibly intense and very pure white.
Finally the construction and finish of this penlight is beautiful. Solid and clean construction, with understated elegance.
I couldn't be happier.

I am a 3rd year medical student and recently received this light as a gift from my parents who are also physicians. I can't believe how useful this light is, I use it literally all the time!
Not only for pupil checks and clinical applications but often times I leave the hospital late at night. The broad beam of 160 lumens really lights up dark parking structures at night. I recommend the Preon 2 to any medical students! It's a nice investment that will last throughout your career as a physician!

My husband got me this light after I had been complaining about the dim and unreliable penlight that I was using on my patients. Couldn't believe I didn't have something like this earlier!
Nice low setting for pupil checks without blinding my patients and two simple clicks and I have bright white light for checking the oropharynx! Will be pointing my colleagues your way to pick some up for themselves!

I work in the medical field, and this is the best penlight I've ever used. It's excellent for performing eye exams and looking in my patient's oropharynx.
